Family day trip. The driver added Shivpuri as a stop on the way without being asked. At Devprayag he took us to all three viewpoints in sequence — bridge first, then ghat, then the cliff walk above. The best photograph is from the cliff walk. He was right.
Solo photographer. The driver suggested a 6 AM start specifically to catch the sharpest two-colour divide. The light was almost directly on the confluence from the east. The images are the best of my trip to Uttarakhand. He understood the photography perfectly.
We were transiting to Joshimath. The driver suggested we take 45 minutes for Devprayag. My 70-year-old mother-in-law said it was the most powerful moment of the entire yatra. He had known, without being told, that it should not be skipped.
