Kangra is the historic capital of the Trigarta kingdom. Its fort, temple, and museum form the most layered heritage experience in the Himalayan foothills.

Masrur (37 km) features 8th-century monolithic rock-cut temples. The Kangra Valley Railway (toy train) from Kangra station offers incredible views crossing the Banganga bridge.
